Caribbean Vacation

The Caribbean is a cruise ship paradise. Yes more cruise ships go to these beautiful islands than any other region in the world. The islands in close proximity to each other play a big role and cruise ship companies normally offer a package which includes visiting 4 or 5 countries at a minimal cost.
The major drawback of a cruise is that one doesn't get to spend enough time at any specific place. In fact passengers spend more time on the ship than on land. Typically, if the ship is not docked overnight then one has to settle with only eight hours of island fun.
However, not to worry because these modern built vessels are nothing less than a big floating 5 star hotel. Everything one can imagine is available and this definitely makes up for the limited time spent on land.
The Caribbean tourism sector has definitely benefited from having so many cruise ships calling to port. Jamaica for example at the moment has 2 major piers, located in Montego Bay and Ocho Rios with the construction of the third in Falmouth Trelawny. Nassau Bahamas is the leader of the pack in terms of the number of cruise liners call to port. The location plays a great role here because of the proximity to Miami and then serves as a catalyst for the rest of the Caribbean.
Whether you travel by air or sea, the Caribbean is definitely a vacation paradise. The warm friendly people, lively music, wonderful beaches, sun and outdoor and as well as indoor sporting activities, are just some of what help the Caribbean to evolved into a world tourist magnet.
